The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) will hold its 2004 Rapid Prototyping Conference and Exposition May 10-13 at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn in Dearborn, Mich., with technical experts presenting the cost-saving benefits of using rapid technologies to improve product quality, decrease costs and reduce time to market. The event will offer more than 34 conference sessions to provide the latest rapid prototyping technologies and process strategies. Additionally, plant tours and workshops are scheduled for May 10. The tours will take place at the DaimlerChrysler Tech Center and Roush Industries. Workshops will include "Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing Fundamentals," "Reverse Engineering and Data Capture," and a "Master Level Certification Exam."
