Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA): Safety Training DVD

August 21, 2007

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) recently released a new version of its Right-to-Know Training Program on DVD. The 30-minute DVD offers instruction on the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s (OSHA) mandated requirements. Training employees to understand and recognize hazardous substances and protect themselves appropriately is required by OSHA, as is training for the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). No facility is exempt from these requirements.

The new DVD is designed to help specialty imaging companies comply with mandatory safety training, with features including English and Spanish language options, an instructor’s guide, a complete transcription of OSHA’s Hazardous Communications Standard, 20 employee guides (English and/or Spanish), and pre- and post-tests to determine employee knowledge.
