Thermal Ceramics: High-Temperature, Biosoluble Insulation (posted 7/9/08)

July 9, 2008

After more than 10 years of market success with its patented Superwool® 607® product line, Thermal Ceramics has taken the next step forward in high-temperature, biosoluble insulation with the new Superwool Plus, which retains the advantage of exoneration from any carcinogen classification enjoyed by standard Superwool 607 insulation. New manufacturing technology developed at the Thermal Ceramics Research & Development Center has given the Superwool Plus product additional advantages, including up to 30% superior insulating value over conventional high-temperature insulation, significantly less contaminating particles called “shot,” and a higher classification temperature of 2012°F (1100°C).

In a rapidly changing world where the increasing cost of energy coupled with environmental concerns are starting to dominate everyone’s thinking, new Superwool Plus addresses these issues and offers key advantages over other high-temperature fiber products currently available. Superwool Plus is an engineered solution that saves energy and respects the environment.
