Zecal Technology, LLC, owned by Heartland Technology and LZ Partners,
has entered into an agreement with C-COR.net to supply C-COR.net with
Zecal's latest ceramic circuit technology. The estimated value of the
agreement is $2.3 million annually. Under the multi-year agreement,
Zecal will design and manufacture circuitry for use in C-COR.net's
next generation of FlexNet(R) trunk and bridger amplifiers and fiber
optic receivers. When introduced, these enhanced C-COR.net products
will offer superior distortion and performance while reducing
operating power. "This contract represents a significant leap
forward, not only for our company, but also for broadband networking
and market acceptance of ceramic circuit technology," said Jack
Smith, Zecal's president and chief executive officer. "The selection
of our products and support capabilities by C-COR.net, a broadband
leader with high-quality standards, reaffirms both the compelling
performance benefits of ceramic circuitry and Zecal's ability to
deliver them in C-COR.net's equipment."
