ZIRCAR Refractory Composites, Inc. has introduced its refractory
sheet cloth and tape products. These products are ceramic fiber
reinforced alumina textile-like products scientifically engineered
for use in the most demanding industrial applications. Refractory
sheet cloth and tape contain no asbestos or toxic materials and have
a maximum use temperature of 1300°C (2370°F). They offer the strength,
durability, flexibility and versatility required by many high
temperature applications. The high alumina content makes them highly
resistant to many environments, including molten aluminum, as well as
many types of fuel oils. When hardened with AL-Hard surface
treatment, these products become "rock hard" for greater resistance.
