QHi Infrared: Thermal Monitoring Equipment

QHi Infrared recently combined with R&B Marine to provide the solution to a problem for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL), which wanted a reliable system to thermally monitor key 11kv electrical switchgear on the propulsion systems of its Voyager class liners. The ExerTherm system from QHi, specifically designed to provide continuous thermal monitoring for key components inside electrical switchgear enclosures, was successfully installed in March 2003. ExerTherm uses small, plastic, non-contact IR sensors that require no power. The sensors are placed inside the switchgear enclosure to directly and continuously monitor any key component.
