The Quebec Metal Powders Limited (QMP) manufacturing facility in Monchengladbach, Germany, has successfully achieved certification to ISO 14001. In 1999, the QMP manufacturing facility in Canada was the first ferrous powder producer worldwide to register to ISO 14001. Both manufacturing facilities have implemented procedures to formalize environmental activities in relation to process control, training, awareness and competence, communication, emergency preparedness and response. In line with QMP's global policy to focus on the prevention of pollution and conform to regulatory requirements on environmental matters, the certification to ISO 14001 standards further reinforces QMP's commitment to the environment, while continually improving its ferrous powders and services for its customers worldwide.
