The RAK Ceramic sanitaryware division has selected Sacmi Whiteware as its main partner for its plant expansion in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sacmi has provided RAK with support for nearly 10 years, developing the solutions to satisfy RAK in every stage of its expansion. RAK recently extended its product range to include new fire clay articles, and Sacmi has supplied -- in addition to two new pressure casting units for washbasins and tanks (a total of 14 have been installed) -- a new SSK shuttle kiln with a capacity of 300,000 pieces per year that will allow firing of both fire clay and vitreous ware and subsequent second firings. This new phase of the project is expected to be complete by the end of January 2003.

Sacmi's website is located at http://www.sacmi.com .
