Refractron Technologies Corp. has completed a 17,000-square-foot expansion of its headquarters facility in Newark, N.Y. The office, factory and warehouse building now totals 77,000 square feet. The new factory area houses ceramic powder production, forming, firing and testing, along with precision machining equipment to fabricate ceramic components to exact specifications and tolerances. The addition was needed to house manufacturing facilities for two recently acquired product lines -- dense zirconia and alumina components, and precision ceramic machining. Refractron's traditional product line includes porous ceramics for various industries.
