MoreResco Products, Inc. has acquired the assets of New Castle Refractories Co., including its plants located in New Castle, Pa.; Newell, W.V.; and Massillon, Ohio. New Castle Refractories manufactures brick and special shapes in silicon carbide, mullite, extra-high alumina, clay-graphite, cordierite, clay and insulating compositions. In addition, Resco recently announced its acquisition of Refco, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa., with an operating plant in Wellston, Ohio. Refco manufactures clay-alumina monolithics and pre-cast shapes for a wide variety of applications in both steel and non-steel industries.
