Resco Completes Acquisition

Resco Products, Inc. has successfully completed the purchase of certain divested assets from RHI-Americas. Resco has acquired: the Hammond, Ind., and Marelan, Quebec, facilities that were formerly part of GIX (Harbison-Walker Refractories); certain products from RHI-America’s (formerly North American Refractories Co.) Farber, Mo., plant; and Harbison-Walker’s Windham, Ohio, facilities.

“The acquisition of these assets will double the size of Resco and expand our customer base significantly,” said William K. Brown, president and CEO of Resco. “We believe these products will be complementary to Resco’s current product lines and will allow our customers another supply option.

“The Hammond, Indiana, and Marelan, Quebec, facilities will have the same operating personnel as before the acquisitions,” Brown said. “Our customers can depend on the same products, made with the same raw materials, made on the same presses, and dried and/or fired through the same kilns, by the same people.”
