On June 24, 2004, Rotex Inc., joined a group of 26 companies from around the state of Ohio in being honored with the Excellence in Exporting Award. The companies were honored in a luncheon ceremony held at the Statehouse in Columbus, where Governor Bob Taft presented the award. The State of Ohio Excellence in Exporting Award recognizes companies whose exports have increased sales, thereby strengthening the state's economy and enhancing the quality of life for Ohio residents. Candidates for the award must be able to illustrate and explain trends as they relate to volume of exports; percentage of export sales to total sales; growth of export sales; and job retention, creation and expansion resulting from export activity.
