Since the end of April 2004, the Sacmi Group has had a 90% share in Riedhammer, in which it had purchased a 30% share in 2003. Riedhammer, with over 8000 plants installed all over the world, has been producing kilns for the ceramic industry since 1924. This new ownership scenario has generated a business plan that aims to improve Riedhammer's products and services even further. Reorganization, which is already well under way, is steadily giving the company greater flexibility, dynamism and competitiveness to meet the challenges of the increasingly complex world kiln market. A key feature of the plan is close collaboration with Sacmi Forni, the Sacmi Group company that designs and constructs kilns for the ceramic industry. The new Riedhammer board of directors has reconfirmed Peter Riedhammer as company chairman.
