SACMI to Show Sanitaryware Technologies at Tecnargilla

SACMI will display its sanitaryware offerings at Tecnargilla 2010, to be held September 27-October 1 in Rimini, Italy. On display will be new shuttle kilns equipped with REKO self-recuperative burners, which have the ability to draw hot fumes from the kiln chamber and use them to heat the combustion air.

The company’s latest developments in casting cells, featuring devices for the pre-drying of pieces, will also be shown. In addition, the robotized finishing of pieces using an AVM150 casting “island” combined with the finishing of a WC and the subsequent loading onto a laser guided vehicle for transport will be on display.

A glazing island equipped with the new GA2010 robot from Gaiotto Automation will be shown. The new robot was developed in response to glazing requirements and is particularly suited to the production of vitreous china.

SACMI will also present the latest AVB (installed at the Sacmi Imola Research Centre), a machine for the high-pressure casting of WCs. The number of molds can vary, depending on the preset system configuration and the user’s needs. The length of the machine can also be adjusted according to the maximum number of molds to be installed.
