Saint-Gobain Advanced Ceramics, Boron Nitride, formerly Carborundum, has appointed William A. Hill director of operations at the company's Amherst, N.Y., facility. Hill will oversee operations at the plant, which manufactures boron nitride in solid, powder and liquid forms. Prior to joining Saint-Gobain, he worked for General Motors' powertrain division. He holds an undergraduate degree from General Motors Institute, now Kettering University, and a master's degree in business administration from State University of New York at Buffalo.
