Luis F. Granes, Latin America manager for Sauereisen, was recently appointed president of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Pittsburgh Chapter. NACE is a leading trade association for the corrosion engineering and science community, and is recognized around the world as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions.
“NACE is a very well-respected organization among several industries dealing with corrosion prevention and control, from chemical processing and water systems to transportation and infrastructure protection,” said Eric Sauereisen, president. “We’re so pleased that Luis, a valued member of our team, is continuing Sauereisen’s legacy within the leadership of the NACE organization.”
Granes has been a NACE member since 1987. In addition to his new position as president, he is the acting chairman of the NACE Internet Corrosion forum. He is also a founding member of the newly established Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) Three Rivers Chapter (Pittsburgh). A graduate of the Instituto Universitario de Nuevas Profesiones (IUNP) in Caracas, Venezuela, Granes has been developing Sauereisen operations in Latin America since 1999.
