Sauereisen's Zimmer Named Fellow of ACerS

Sauereisen Inc. recently announced the elevation of Dr. Curtis E. Zimmer to the status of Fellow in the American Ceramic Society (ACerS). The Society's board of trustees awards the Fellow position to those individuals who demonstrate the highest standards of achievement in the field of ceramics, arts and science. The Society has also honored Zimmer with the William S. Bates Award for distinguished service to the Pittsburgh, Pa., area ceramic community. Zimmer serves as manager - inorganic technology at Sauereisen. His work entails product development of cement-based adhesives, refractories, mortars and polymer concretes. He joined Sauereisen in 1982. In addition to his formulating contributions, he has guided the company's safety and environmental programs for several years.
