SEMICON West Issues Call for Papers

Original papers in the area of semiconductor wafer processing technology and test, assembly and packaging technologies are being requested for the SEMICON(R) West 2004 SEMI(R) Technical Symposium (STS), to be held July 12-14 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif., and July 14-15 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. The theme of this year's STS in San Francisco will be "Innovations in Semiconductor and MEMS Manufacturing." The symposium will focus on environmental technologies and management systems, contamination free manufacturing, equipment materials and processes, operations and facilities management, and MEMS materials and processes. The STS in San Jose is co-sponsored by IEEE Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology (CMPT) and will focus on solutions that improve the electronics manufacturing process.

Abstracts of approximately 250 words and brief speaker biographies are due January 30, 2004. For additional information, including submission requirements, call (408) 943-7048 or visit http://www.semi.org .
