SETARAM Instrumentation has signed an agreement with AKTS AG to distribute worldwide AKTS-Advanced Thermokinetics, AKTS-Thermal Safety and AKTS-SML Diffusion (Specific Migration Limit) software applications. The AKTS software can be applied to the study of the thermal stability of substances, the safety analysis of physico-chemical processes, and the investigation of the safety and quality of packaged substances. AKTS technology provides a means to infer additional characteristics and behavior of examined materials based on conventional thermoanalytical measurements. A key benefit is the accurate determination of the thermal stability of products (shelf life/transformation) for quantities and temperature profiles other than those measured, which can be difficult because of time, cost and feasibility reasons.
