Setaram has launched the DRC, a new differential reaction calorimeter designed for laboratories concerned with optimizing industrial processes and the safety of chemical reactions. As an instrumented laboratory reactor, the DRC permits quick access to important thermodynamic properties associated with liquid-liquid and liquid-gas product mixtures, such as reaction heat, heat of mixing, reaction time, maximum temperature elevations during reaction, monitoring of reaction kinetics, conversion rates and heat capacities. Measurements are possible in the -80 to 150C temperature range and up to an internal pressure of 10 bars using the special cells.
