Setaram: Gas Sorption Instrumentation

Both instruments in the new line have the ability to operate within a wide range of temperature (-260 to 500°C) and pressure (vacuum to 200 bar).

Setaram recently announced the latest addition to its Hy-Energy product line, the PCTPro-E&E (energy and environment). This completely automated Sievert gas sorption instrument is capable of using multiple gases to characterize today’s most promising materials.

Two versions of the PCTPro are available: PCTPro-2000 and PCTPro-E&E. Both of these instruments have the ability to operate within a wide range of temperature (-260 to 500°C) and pressure (vacuum to 200 bar).

The PCTPro-E&E is ideally suited for the study of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) materials and methane sorption onto geological substrates. Applications include gas-reaction compounds and high-surface-area adsorbents, including carbon materials (nanopowders, films, fibers, nanotubes); adsorbents for CO2 storage and separation; activated alumina (gas and liquid purification); molecular sieves (zeolites, MOFs, etc. for gas separation and vapor removal); and methane adsorption on substrates.

The PCTPro-2000 is designed for the characterization of hydrogen sorption properties of a wide range of materials, including gas-reaction compounds and high-surface-area adsorbents such as hydrogen storage materials (metal hydrides, alanates, amides, MOFs) and carbon materials (nanopowders, films, fibers, nanotubes).
