Setaram Instrumentation has signed an agreement with Mathis Instruments to distribute Mathis' new TCi thermal conductivity testing system worldwide. The new TCi provides rapid, non-destructive thermal testing capabilities. Based on Mathis' advancement of the modified hot wire technique, the technology offers dramatic reductions in test times and sample preparation. Thermal characteristics of a material can be accurately determined in seconds over a wide temperature range. The procedure also requires access to only one side of the sample, which can be virtually unlimited in size and thickness. A key benefit of the technology is its ability to test without destroying, damaging or changing the material properties of the sample.
