Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced the highly flexible DTG-60, which enables easy, accurate simultaneous thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) measurements. The latest addition to the Sixty Series, the DTG-60 features a newly designed, integrated balance assembly. It provides high sensitivity and excellent stability over a wide dynamic mass range. A true DTA setup in which the sample and reference position are located at the ends of the balance beam ensures a stable baseline even at high temperatures. The new unit enables higher sample throughput. A built-in cooling fan and a low-mass furnace allow for fast cooling cycles automatically, immediately following analysis completion. Fully controlled gas and pressure conditions enable evaluation of reaction mechanisms and interactions in precise environments. Coupled with the TA-60WS workstation, the DTG-60 can be networked with up to three other thermal analysis instruments to provide advanced data acquisition and reporting functions.
