Featuring a brushless DC direct drive motor and electronic speed control, this wheel has a fixed pedal with a hand lever similar to the company's RK-10 model. The drive system offers smooth power and high torque at all speeds and is extremely quiet. First reviews call it the quietest potter's wheel on the market. The wheelhead spins freely when no power is applied, so it can also be used as a banding wheel. The RK-Whisper comes with a two-piece splashpan and a two-year warranty. It will be available in early November.
