The board of directors of Lamina Ceramics recently announced the appointment of Frank M. Shinneman as president and chief executive officer (CEO). Shinneman brings 25 years of international management experience to the N.J.-based developer of ultra-bright LED light engines. He was most recently president of PlasmaSol Corp., the sale of which he successfully negotiated with Stryker Instruments late last year. He has successfully led a number of technology ventures, including Nanodyne, one of the first nano-materials companies, where he was the founding president and CEO. He sold the company to Umicore in 1998.
