SME Offers Networking Opportunities

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is providing an opportunity for developers and researchers of advanced energy technologies (AET) to interface and connect with OEMs considering alternative energy systems in their future product designs. The Advanced Energy & Fuel Cell Technologies: Manufacturing Opportunities & Challenges Conference & Exposition, will be held October 11-13, 2004, at Laurel Manor in Livonia, Mich. The three-day conference, featuring more than 50 presentations and four keynote speakers, will offer AET developers and researchers an opportunity to interface and connect with OEMs in several different industry markets where alternative energy systems have both short- and long-term applications. Leaders from Panasonic, GM, NASA, the U.S. Army and the National Automotive Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NAC) will reveal their future energy needs and what systems technologies they are both employing and exploring.
