Spiroflow Systems Inc. has introduced a new bulk bag unloading station that incorporates cone valve technology. The company has joined forces on this project with ISL, a cone valve discharge manufacturer, to offer customers the sanitary advantages of cone valves with the cost benefits of bulk bags. Cone valves have long been a preferred means of controlled dispensing of dry products from rigid bins. However, the cost of cleaning and re-validating empty containers has always been high. Bulk bag dischargers have also come a long way. Sophisticated unloading stations are now available from Spiroflow offering total dust containment, guaranteed anti-bridging devices and other advanced features to insure complete emptying of the bag. Combining the two technologies provides users with a viable alternative to expensive rigid bins -- a cone valve in a bulk bag.
