Starfire Systems, Inc. recently announced that it has recruited Steve Atmur, a 13-year veteran of Northrop Grumann Corp. and founder of The Composite Factory, to lead the commercialization effort of its ceramic matrix composite forming technology. Atmur holds 37 U.S. patents related to the application of ceramic matrix composites and is recognized in the industry as an expert in the application of high-temperature materials to structural applications. As program manager, he will work with a broad range of customers and partners to develop and market material systems solutions based on the company?s patented preceramic polymer technology.
