Starfire Systems: Ceramic Aircraft and Racing Brake Materials

Starfire Systems recently announced that it has developed new ceramic materials systems technology for high-performance aircraft and racing brakes. Several companies are currently evaluating the performance of brakes made from Starfire's ceramic matrix composite materials against conventional brakes made of iron or carbon. "The number of leading manufacturers evaluating our aircraft brake materials is a real market validation that we have made a major breakthrough in designing an advanced ceramic materials system for aircraft and racing brakes that can improve everything from design, size and friction performance to mechanical stability and life cycle," said Richard Saburro, president and CEO.
