Superconductive Components Names Rooney President and CEO

Dan Rooney has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Superconductive Components.

Dr. Edward R. Funk, Sc.D., founder and chairman of Superconductive Components, Inc., recently announced that Dan Rooney has been appointed president and chief executive officer, effective March 1, 2002. Prior to joining Superconductive Components, Rooney was general manager for Johnson Matthey, Color and Coatings Division, Structural Ceramics Sector North America. His responsibilities included full financial accountability and production for a U.S. manufacturing facility, which produced finely milled powder, as well as for Structural Ceramics, a distributor for materials imported from four affiliated companies in Europe. He earned his master's of business administration degree from Niagara University in 1992 and his bachelor's of science degree in ceramic engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering in 1976.
