MoreBrenda Beers-Reineke, president of Sweco, recently announced the grand opening of the company’s new manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China. The 16,000-square-foot facility is located in Maqiao, which is 40 minutes south of Shanghai in a new industrial park. The plant will initially manufacture selected screens that are currently being manufactured in Florence and shipped to Singapore; plans for the future include a more diversified product line.
“This new facility allows us to better serve our customers in China and countries in East Asia,” said James Wong, Sweco Asia managing director. “Together with our facilities in India and Singapore, it geographically completes Sweco’s establishment in the entire Asia market. We are confident that Sweco’s business will continue to expand in this growing market.”
