The Tile Council of America, Inc. (TCA) recently launched a new subsidiary, the TCA Team LLC, to address the growing need for tile installation consultations, inspections and expert testimony. The TCA Team will consist of a group of independent, professional ceramic tile and stone experts that can provide confidential forensic studies, on-site field inspections, design specifications, work-in-progress consultations, and trial testimony. Over the past few years, the TCA has witnessed a rise in tile installation technical inquiries to an average of 20 calls per day (more than 5000 inquires a year) from homeowners, architects, designers, contractors and lawyers. The TCA Team can render an opinion on whether product performance or the installation process meets industry standards and what caused the failure.
