MoreTevTech, LLC recently announced the delivery of a graphitization system to Touchstone Research Laboratory in Tridelphia, W.V. The vacuum furnace has an 18-in. by 20-in. hot zone and an upper operating temperature of 3000C (5432F). Touchstone Research Laboratory will use the system to graphitize its carbon foam CFOAM(R) products. Applications for the cellular, lightweight and fire retardant CFOAM range from fuel cell electrodes and aerospace parts to ship bulkheads and housing materials.
