Thermo Electron Corp. will introduce the new HAAKE Modular Advanced Rheometer System (MARS) to the U.S. market at the annual meeting of the Society of Rheology, February 13-17 in Lubbock, Texas. The new HAAKE MARS platform features a modular design that allows researchers to adapt the system quickly and easily for different applications and test needs. All rheological measurements can be performed in controlled rate (CR), controlled stress (CS) and controlled deformation (CD) modes, in rotation and in oscillation. A new normal force sensor allows negative normal forces to be measured for tensile test applications, and a temperature control unit enables the equipment to operate in temperatures ranging from -150 to 600C.
