Ionic Fusion Corp. recently announced the appointment of Paul Thoen, Ph.D., an associate research professor at the Colorado School of Mines, to the company's advisory board. "Having Dr. Thoen join our advisory board affords us a wealth of knowledge about new applications for metallic membranes," said Joe Ryan, president of Ionic Fusion. "Dr. Thoen can assist us in exploring applications of our IPD technology in the energy and ceramic markets." Prior to joining the faculty of the School of Mines, Thoen was operations manager for ITM Energy Systems of Littleton, Colo., where he developed and commercialized solid oxide fuel cell technology.
