Tile Council of America: Installation Handbook

Published by the Tile Council of America, Inc. (TCA), the "2003-2004 Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installation, 41st Edition" offers 14 new installation methods. A total of 221 revisions, additions or deletions were reviewed for submission to the new handbook by 44 of the industry's leading trade associations, companies and experts. Many of the changes reflect a concerted effort by the handbook committee to make the handbook more consistent and easier to use. Some of the major changes introduced in the new handbook include fiber-reinforced gypsum panel backerboard, extruded polystyrene backerboard, crack isolation membranes, radiant heat systems, cork underlayment and OSB subfloors.
