Tosoh Acquires Remaining 50% Stake in F-TECH

Tosoh Corp. recently announced that F-TECH Corp. will join the Tosoh Group as a consolidated subsidiary for fiscal 2001 (April 1, 2001-March 31, 2002). On November 30, F-TECH became a wholly owned subsidiary when Tosoh acquired the remaining 50% of shares from Taiheiyo Cement Corp. F-TECH is primarily involved in the development of organic intermediates that have a wide variety of applications as the base materials in the production of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, aromatics and electronic materials.
