Tosoh Corp. recently announced that the wholly owned subsidiary Tosoh Quartz Corp. was awarded ISO14001 certification for its Environmental Management System (EMS) on June 17th. Tosoh Quartz serves as the manufacturing base for a wide variety of fabricated quartz parts and products for the semiconductor industry. In addition, Tosoh Speciality Materials Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tosoh Corp. that specializes in the manufacturing of sputtering targets, completed the ISO14001 certification audit at the end of June. Tosoh Group places a high priority on the improvement of environmental and safety control systems throughout all operations and continues to support group-wide certification. As part of its Guiding Environmental Principles, Tosoh is striving to ensure that products, processes, and technologies are environmentally safe. This is accomplished through conducting regular environmental, health, and safety audits and fostering understanding both within the corporate group and for local communities.
