Tosoh Corp. recently announced the official opening and start of operations of Tosoh Quartz Co., Ltd., a quartz fabrication plant in Taiwan, on June 14th, 2001. Completion of this plant will further strengthen operations in Asia and continue to develop the brand name of Tosoh Quartz on a global scale. Tosoh Quartz Group owns and operates the new plant on its site at the Tainan Science-based Industrial Park in southern Taiwan and brings over 60 years of experience to quartzware production. The plant will specialize in the manufacture of quartzware used in 8-in. or next-generation 12-in. diffusion and CVD processes for semiconductor production.
