U.S. Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson and Alan Gehringer, executive director of the IMC (Industrial Resource Center) in Williamsport, Pa., recently visited APC International Ltd. The purpose of the visit was to gain an understanding of the role that small- and medium-sized manufacturing businesses will play to bring the U.S. economy out of the current recession and how the IMC, a public-private partnership, can help these manufacturers to find solutions to the problems they face as they begin to expand their operations in response to increasing sales.

APC International gave Thompson a tour of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. In addition, he spoke with Ian Henderson, company president, as well as many of the company’s other employees.

“As the recession draws to a close, we at APC will push to increase both our capacity and our capabilities in order to guarantee our customers’ complete satisfaction,” Henderson said. “The guidance that we receive from our IMC Business Advisor enables APC to expand in a way that benefits both our customers and employees.”
