Porvair Ceramics Ltd., manufacturers of microporous molds and associated equipment for use in the sanitaryware and tableware industries, recently welcomed Lord David Sainsbury of Turville, The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Science, to its international headquarters in King’s Lynn.

Lord Sainsbury is responsible for the Office of Science & Technology, Research Councils and Innovation, Design & Space. He has a particular interest in high tech companies that are trying to do something new. Alistair Tait, managing director of Porvair Ceramics, showed Lord Sainsbury around the company’s new 43,000-square-foot, £2.5 million (~$3.9 million) international headquarters. According to Tait, the hour-long visit was judged to be a great success.
