Unifrax Corp. has acquired the duct wrap fire protection assets of ETS Schaefer Corp. The acquisition includes all of the tangible and intangible assets associated with ETS Schaefer's duct wrap fire protection business, excluding any real estate. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. "This acquisition will strengthen the company's fire protection business, which is a targeted area of strategic growth, and substantially increase our share of the sold duct wrap market in North America," said William P. Kelly, Unifrax president and CEO. "It will strengthen our duct wrap product portfolio and improve our access to the growing duct wrap market."
