The board of directors of Unifrax Corp. recently announced two management changes. William P. Kelly has been named chairman of the board, while also continuing in his role as chief executive officer. Kelly was named the first president of Unifrax in 1996, following its creation from the Fibers Division of The Carborundum Co. David E. Brooks has been named president and chief operating officer and will be responsible for daily operations at the company. Brooks joined Unifrax in 1980 as a marketing manager, and in 1995 he was promoted to president of the Monofrax fused cast refractory business. In 1998, Brooks was hired by Unifrax as vice president of Marketing and was later promoted to senior vice president for the Americas.
