Union Process Inc. recently announced it has manufactured a custom DMQ-80 mill for a customer producing materials for lithium ion battery technology.

The mill’s design reportedly allows for fast, efficient grinding of submicron materials with the cost-effective advantages of a circulation mill. Circulation grinding offers benefits such as a narrow particle size distribution, the ability to continuously monitor the product and make formulation adjustments on the fly, and excellent product temperature control.
