Union Process, Inc. has introduced a new cryogenic cover for its 1-S Laboratory Attritor to facilitate easier flow of liquid nitrogen into the grinding chamber. More customers are exploring size reduction at super-low temperatures in an attempt to achieve better results. This special cover fits both the 1.5 and 2.5-gal models of the 1-S. For cryogenic grinding, Union Process uses a stainless steel tank with a stainless steel jacket.
For customers who already own a 1-S but have a need for cryogenic grinding, the special cover and tanks can be retrofitted on to any existing 1-S model. A versatile, reliable and rugged mill, the 1-S is designed to meet virtually any lab grinding and dispersing need, wet or dry. An advantage of the 1-S is that results can be scaled up to production-sized equipment with reproducible results from batch to batch. The 1-S is also available with a broad selection of accessories, including tank options, agitator arms, covers, bottom valves and more.
