A retrofit option for current owners of Union Process, Inc.'s 1-S batch laboratory attritor is now available. The retrofit "kit" enables users to convert the mill to a circulation mill, similar to the company's Q line, at a fraction of the cost of a new mill. The solution is ideal for 1-S owners who need to grind larger batches and wish to use the advantages of circulation grinding. The retrofit kit includes the necessary pump, incoming and outgoing hoses, and a grid system, which restrains the grinding media while allowing slurry to pass through. A pre-mix holding tank (not included) is required and may be purchased separately.
