Union Process recently produced a special laboratory-sized Q-2 circulation grinding system ideally suited for the processing of technical ceramics. This special Q-2 was customized with flame-proof electronics and sealed for grinding under inert gas. Featuring a ceramic-lined grinding chamber, zirconium oxide sleeved agitator arms and a coated (Halar) premix/holding tank, the mill is totally metal-free. The system is also equipped with a dual set of special dosing/additive tanks to make adjustments to the premix/holding tank easy and efficient. The Q-2 uses a media volume of 2.2 gal with a recommended holding tank capacity of 5-20 gal.
