The QC450 small media mill from Union Process is an innovative mill with a revolutionary circulation design. The mill uses a circulation-type process whereby the flow direction is matched to the centrifugal direction. The mill's specially designed rotor creates strong centrifugal and shearing force, which, when combined with the fast circulation rate of the slurry, results in excellent, efficient grinding with sharp particle size distribution. The mill is available with a variable frequency drive. With a media volume of only 15 liters, the mill can efficiently process from 50-400 gal (200-1500 liters). The QC450 runs at a tip speed of 3000 ft/min, and a variety of materials and tank options are available.
