UNITECR Announces Details for 2009 Event (posted 6/29/09)

In spite of the prevailing economic conditions, organizers recently announced that UNITECR 2009 has reached a new stage in its final preparations.

Organizers for the 11th Unified International Technical Conference on Refractories (UNITECR), to be held October 13-16 in Salvador, Brazil, recently announced that, in spite of the prevailing economic world conditions, UNITECR 2009 has reached a new stage in its final preparations. More than 240 complete papers have been received and reviewed by the Technical Board and are now part of the conference program. Authors and presenters will be from different parts of the world, covering over 15 mainstream technology applications and science topics. Five simultaneous sessions are currently being programmed.

Registration is now available at the event’s website, www.unitecr2009.org. Due to unforeseen technical difficulties with the credit card security protocols and the need to adapt different systems to exchange information with the website server, event organizers have extended the period for reduced fees. Check the website for more information.
