Valdi Ceramika Turns to Sacmi for New Ceramic Plant (posted 6/15/09)

The core of the plant will be the Continua line, including a PH7500 press designed to produce porcelain tile as large as 1200 x 1200 mm.

Waldemar Dzionek, owner of Valdi Ceramika, recently decided to entrust the design and execution of his company’s new ceramic plant in Staporkow, Konskie, Poland, to Sacmi. The core of the plant will be the Continua line, including a high-tonnage PH7500 press designed to produce top-of-the-range porcelain tile as large as 1200 x 1200 mm.

In this initial phase, two single-layer Pulsar kilns (over 115 m long with a 2950-mm-wide in-feed) will be installed; they will be equipped with cutting-edge, high-efficiency heat recovery systems. In addition to the Continua line, the kilns will be fed by a PH5000XXL press, which offers outstanding output capacity for medium-large tiles.

Sacmi will be providing this new Polish factory with all the main machines for the ceramic manufacturing process: raw material batching, clay blunging, continuous grinding, spray drying, pressing, cutting, drying and firing. A particularly extensive set of devices is incorporated on the Continua line, including flake and micronized powder batchers, dry and wet application units, and a space for the future installation of new accessories that will boost the creative capacity of the line.
